Willy the Kid is a classic British comic character created by Leo Baxendale. Baxendale was one of the most important and influential British artists of humor comics. Together with David Law and Ken Reid, he innovated the genre in the 1950s through their work for DC Thomson's The Beano. Baxendale created two of the magazine's longest-running and most beloved series: 'Minnie the Minx' and 'The Bash Street Kids', both dealing with misbehaving children.
Willy the Kid (1976-1978), a comic story about a little boy and his thrilling adventures. Contrary to his previous work, this comic wasn't serialized in a magazine, but published directly in three annual books by Gerald Duckworth and Company.
