Avis Car Rental - We Try Harder

Avis Car Rental, LLC is a Global car rental company headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. Along with Budget Rent a Car, Budget Truck Rental and Zipcar, Avis is a unit of Avis Budget Group. The Avis corporate motto of "We Try Harder" was adopted in 1962,  aimed to put a positive spin on Avis' status as the second largest car rental company in the United States, at the expense of its larger competitor, Hertz. The slogan was used for 50 years before a re-branding in 2012, when Avis unveiled a new slogan—"It's Your Space."

Tampa Bay Bandits - USFL : 1983-1985

The Tampa Bay Bandits were a professional American football team in the United States Football League (USFL) which was based in Tampa, Florida. The Bandits were one of the most successful teams in the short-lived spring football league both on the field and at the ticket booth.

Captain Frank’s Air Hawks : 1936 - 1937

Frank Hawks (1897 – 1938) was a pilot in the United States Army Air Service during World War I and was known during the 1920s and 1930s as a record breaking aviator, using a series of Texaco-sponsored aircraft and setting 214 point-to-point records in the United States and Europe. Prolific in the media and continually in the “public eye”, in the 1937 The Mysterious Pilot movie serial, Hawks was billed as the “fastest airman in the world.”

Hawks became active in entertainment ventures with his long-running radio serial (“Hawk’s Trail”), a starring role in Klondike (1932), and becoming the leading actor in a film serial, The Mysterious Pilot (1937).

The Captain Hawks club was called Captain Frank’s Air Hawks. There were three different winged badges offered; the Membership rank, which was silvered brass, the Squadron Leader which was brass, and the Flight Commander which was bronze. There is also a membership ring with a propellor design to go with them. From a premiums and marketing perspective, Post also ran a simliar programs for Frank Hawks and Melvin Pervis

WMET was a prominent Chicago radio station at 95.5 FM that played rock music during the 1970s and 1980s, known for its album-oriented rock format. It famously operated as "95 1/2" before changing call letters in 1986

MLB - Baltimore Orioles

Babe's Dream is a 1995 bronze statue of Babe Ruth, by Susan Luery. It is located at West Camden Street and South Eutaw Street, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore.

The eight foot tall imposing bronze statue of Cal Ripken, Jr. is located at the Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland.  In this sculpture, by Susan Luery, Cal salutes the crowd capturing his appreciation for his fans when he broke Lou Gehrig’s famed record streak for consecutive baseball games played.

Aberdeen, Cal Ripken Jr.’s hometown, held a three-day celebration to honor him when he broke Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games streak.
