Philadelphia Stars - Baltimore Stars - USFL : 1983-1985

The Philadelphia / Baltimore Stars were a professional American football team which played in the United States Football League (USFL) in the mid-1980s. The Stars played in all three championship games and winning the latter two. They played their first two seasons in Philadelphia as the Philadelphia Stars before relocating to Baltimore, where they played as the Baltimore Stars for the USFL's final season. 

WHA - Indianapolis Racers : 1974-1978

 

Indianapolis Racers were a major league ice hockey team that played in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1974 to 1978. They competed in four full seasons before folding 25 games into the 1978–79 season. They played at Market Square Arena. They were the first major league professional team to secure Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.

NFL Super Bowl III (3) - New York Jets v Baltimore Colts : 1969

Super Bowl III was an American football championship game played on January 12, 1969, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. It was the third AFL–NFL Championship Game in professional American football, and the first to officially bear the trademark name "Super Bowl". Super Bowl III is regarded as one of the greatest upsets in both American football history and in the history of professional sports. The 18-point underdog American Football League champion New York Jets defeated the National Football League champion Baltimore Colts by a score of 16–7. 

Jets quarterback Joe Namath famously made an appearance three days before the Super Bowl at the Miami Touchdown Club in which he personally guaranteed his team's victory.

1969 Beaver Falls PA – The ace quarterback who helped the New York Jets win the world's professional football championship visited his hometown, where he is being honored with a banquet to highlight Joe Namath Day. The No.19 jersey he wore in 1960 when he led Beaver Falls High School to its last WPIAL football championship has been retired

Wizard of Speed and Time : 1988

The Wizard of Speed and Time is a 1988 American feature film written, directed by, and starring animator Mike Jittlov. It was preceded by a 1979 short film of the same name, also by Jittlov.

In the film, Hollywood director Lucky Straeker (Steve Brodie) and producer Harvey Bookman (played by the film's producer Richard Kaye), bet over whether Jittlov can actually complete a major effects assignment, and Bookman does everything in his power to thwart him. Kaye's 16-year-old daughter Lauri Kaye became the film's production secretary and performed in the film as a voice-over artist and a hand model. Cameos in the film include science fiction and film industry personalities Forrest J. Ackerman, Angelique Pettyjohn, Ward Kimball, Will Ryan, and a pre-Miami Vice Philip Michael Thomas, as well as composer John Massari. KISS - American rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums, vocals). Known for their face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-1970s with shock rock–style live performances that featured fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. The band went through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons remaining the only consistent members.

New York World's Fair : 1939-1940

1939–1940 New York World's Fair was an international exposition held at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, New York City, United States. The fair featured exhibitions, activities, performances, films, artworks, and food presented by 62 nations, 35 U.S. states and territories, and more than 1,400 organizations and companies. Slightly over 45 million people attended across two seasons. Themed to "the world of tomorrow" and promoted with the slogan "Dawn of a New Day", the 1,202-acre fairground was divided into seven color-coded zones and two standalone focal exhibits, with approximately 375 buildings.
