The Sky Climbers of America was an aviation-related club sponsored by boys' clothing stores, c. 1929. Members could qualify as Oiler, Mechanic, Pilot or Ace. Flight Leader was reserved for the head of a club, similar to a scout leader. The "Chief" was head of the sales department at the store. The club's mascot was a young aviator named Pete Weet. Club kit included issues of Sky Climbers of America magazine, Secret Manual, 1-inch pinback button, 2.75-inch embroidered patch, 2.5-inch decal, and 5 metal badges with attachement designating club rank (Ace, Pilot, Flight Leader and Chief Sy Climber)
