The Summit Series, Super Series 72, Canada–USSR Series, was an eight-game ice hockey series between the Soviet Union and Canada, held in September 1972. Canada would win the series 4 games to 3 games. Bobby Hull was not on the Canadian roster because he had signed with the World Hockey Association prior to the Super Series
Bobby Hull OC (January 3, 1939 – January 30, 2023) was a Canadian professional ice hockeyplayer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. His blonde hair, skating speed, end-to-end rushes, and ability to shoot the puck at very high velocity all earned him the name “The Golden Jet”
