The Borough Improvement League, has a long history of civic-minded efforts to improve the quality of life in the Borough and its surrounding communities. Founded in 1901, the B.I.L. is an all-volunteer membership organization that raises all its operating funds through dues, fundraisers, and donations. In addition to maintaining our historic clubhouse, the ca. 1807 Old Franklin Schoolhouse, we provide an annual scholarship and supports a variety of local charitable causes.
Old Franklin Schoolhouse set up for a concert. Seats 70 attenedees. The Schoolhouse is also notably home to Transformations Gallery, hosts a wide variety of original music performances, and is available for members and the public to use for their personal events.
