Sophia Kirby - Olympic Pins : 2026 Milan

Team USA luger Sophia Kirkby has turned her love of pins into an Olympics collection. She creates her own handmade clay pins and has been spotted trading them around the 2026 Winter Olympics. At the Olympics, pins are a cherished, unofficial currency, often serving as a fun icebreaker or a way to connect with fellow athletes. Kirkby has even dubbed herself the “MiCo ‘26 Pin Trading Queen.”

For Kirkby, making pins become more than a hobby— it was a form of therapy after her father passed from Stage 4 prostate cancer. What started as a personal outlet has grown into a full collection of Olympic pins.

Each pin is designed with the image of a Winter Olympics sport event or athlete, including Team USA’s hockey captain Hilary Knight and one of the most decorated bobsledders in Olympics history, Elana Meyers Taylor.
