Sonja Henie Ice Revue

Sonja Henie (1912 – 1969) was a Norwegian figure skater and film star. She was a three-time Olympic champion (1928, 1932, 1936) in women's singles, a ten-time World champion (1927–1936) and a six-time European champion (1931–1936). Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies' figure skater. 

At the height of Henie's American acting career, she was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood and starred in a series of box-office hits, including Thin Ice (1937), Happy Landing (1938), My Lucky Star (1938), Second Fiddle (1939), and Sun Valley Serenade (1941).

From 1936 to 1943, Henie formed a business arrangement for her touring ice shows under the name of "Hollywood Ice Revue".  At the time, figure skating and ice shows were not yet an established form of entertainment in the United States. In 1950 and for the next three seasons Henie produced her own tours under the name "Sonja Henie Ice Revue". In 1953, Henie formed a new partnership to appear in his European Holiday On Ice tour, which proved to be a great success.

As the 1961 mid-season approached, it seemed quite possible that either Roger Maris or Mickey Mantle, or perhaps both, would break Ruth's 34-year-old home run record. Sportswriters began to play the "M&M Boys" against each other, inventing a rivalry where none existed; in fact, the two men were friends and roommates. Mantle, however, was felled by a hip infection causing hospitalization late in the season, leaving Maris as the single remaining player with the opportunity to break Ruth's home run record.

Maris had 59 home runs after the Yankees' 154th game and therefore failed to beat Ruth's 60 home runs within the original season length. Maris hit his 61st home run on October 1, 1961, in the fourth inning of the last game of the season, at Yankee Stadium in front of 23,154 fans. Maris was awarded the 1961 Hickok Belt as the top professional athlete of the year and won the American League's MVP Award for the second straight year.

This first version features a stylized version which clearly represents Bela Lugosi's portrayal as Count Dracula. This version of the button saw extremely limited distribution due to a trademark infringement claim made by Lugosi's son. The design was ultimately changed, featuring the more common design showing an altered face, 2 hands instead of 1, Dracula with white bow tie instead of red medallion and differing "Dracula" font. Also, the Lugosi version sports bloody fangs whereas final version sports clean fangs.
